Overview

Your week in Shenzhen happened inside a booth and a meeting room. The city that makes what was in that booth is twenty minutes away. This plan starts the hour your closing session ends and takes the chain you buy from in three cross sections: market floors where components are sold by the tray, the address finished machines ship from, and street traffic that already includes cars with no driver in the seat. Between them sits a walled old town about 1,700 years old, inside a city about forty. Day one and day three end early enough to leave the evening alone. By the second floor you'll be reading your own purchase orders differently.

— LyrikTrip travel designers

Every LyrikTrip journey begins with a conversation. Tell us your fair dates and your flight home, and we shape these three days backward from both. First reply within four hours; a clear price for your dates within one business day. If your closing session moves, day one moves with it: that is the point of this plan.

Why you'll love this trip

  • The working city, up close. Nantou Old Town, the planning exhibition, an evening skyline and a creative park, with an English-speaking guide throughout.
  • 3 days from a tray of components to the finished machine. See the whole chain.
  • Walk the component floors before lunch and stand at the address the finished machines ship from after it: one working day, and the line on your purchase order turns into a street you can walk.
  • Step through a gate on day two into a walled old town about 1,700 years old, inside a city about forty: the counter-evidence to everything the skyline tells you.
  • Spend the last morning in a factory shell that now holds art, design and coffee: the same city, one more time, doing something else with a building it had finished using.
  • Start the hour your closing session ends: one city, one hotel for both nights, no flights and no repacking.

Day 1 · Off the show floor, onto the market floor

Your last session ends and the plan starts. Meet the chain you have been buying from by email.

Pickup, whenever the hall lets you go Your driver meets you at the fair venue or your hotel when the closing session actually ends. A late finish shortens the walking, not the plan.
Huaqiangbei electronics market You walk the sourcing district floor by floor with your guide, one level of loose components, one of prototypes, one of finished units. Stand at the end of an aisle and look down it once: trays to the ceiling, and somewhere along that shelf is the part inside the product you flew here to talk about.
DJI Sky City The drone company's address in the city, after the market floors, so the morning's parts and the afternoon's finished machine belong to the same day.
Robotaxi ride You order the car from a screen and it arrives with nobody in the driver's seat, then reads the street with sensors and cameras while the wheel turns itself. It is also how you get between the day's two points. A block in, you'll notice you have stopped watching the wheel and started watching the street.
Evening Yours. Your guide recommends and books dinner around your taste (on your account), or the laptop opens back at the hotel; nothing else is scheduled.

Day 2 · The old town under the new city

A gate, an exhibition hall, then an hour of sky. The city you were sold as forty years old turns out to be keeping older receipts.

Shekou and Nantou Old Town You walk in through the gate of a walled town about 1,700 years old and come out into a harbor district that reads as the opposite. Stop in the lane just inside the gate: low roofs on both sides of you, towers standing above them at the end of the street. Inside the gate you'll catch yourself lowering your voice, which is not something this city usually asks of you.
Lunch Nearby or back in the district: your guide books it, on your account.
Shenzhen urban planning exhibition A city about forty years old, keeping the record of how it was built, in a hall built for the purpose. Admission is included, and the visit lands where it does on purpose: an hour after the old gate, the argument has two sides.
Evening drone show An hour of formation flying above the city, watched from ground level with your guide. On dates without a show, the evening becomes the lit cityscape around Shenzhen Civic Center instead, at no change to your price.

Day 3 · The third use of the same building

One creative park, then the airport. The last morning is cut to your flight, not the other way round.

OCT LOFT creative park You walk a former industrial area that now runs on contemporary art, design and coffee, with the old structure left visible above the new tenants. Sit outside with a coffee for twenty minutes; the yard is the quietest thing on this plan. You'll catch yourself planning a slower return trip before the cup is finished.
Shenzhen Science Museum An optional add-on for this morning, about two hours, taken only if your flight leaves room for it and only if you choose it. It is quoted separately and never joins the plan by default.

Special Notes

A few things on this route follow your schedule, an operator's schedule or the weather. Here they are, told straight.

  • Start timeday one has no fixed start. It begins when your own closing session ends, and we set that time with you order by order, including whether teardown takes your last morning. We do not assume it from a fair calendar.
  • Robotaxiincluded in your price and booked by date, then reconfirmed before you land. Its availability is the operator's, not ours. If service is suspended that day the ride does not run, nothing is substituted for it, and day one runs about an hour shorter. How the price is treated in that case is stated in writing with your quote.
  • Drone showincluded, and conditional. It runs only on scheduled dates and in suitable weather, and the October to December 2026 schedule is not yet confirmed with the operator. We promise you the evening, not the show: on dates without one, you get the lit cityscape around Shenzhen Civic Center at no change in price.
  • Shenzhen Science Museumsold as an add-on only, quoted separately, never bundled and never counted as one of this plan's reasons to come. It takes about two of the four hours the departure morning holds, so we check it against your flight before you choose. Without it, day three is the creative park alone, which suits an early flight.
  • Two guests, two namesthe number of guests your quote covers is stated in writing on that quote, and no order is taken without it in writing.
  • Hotels & venuesnamed in your confirmation; "or similar" always means the same class and comparable location, never a quiet downgrade.
