Beijing Arrivals · Shanghai Departures
14 Days & 13 Nights — Private · Custom Itinerary
Paced to the slowest member of your party. The one climb on the route is done by cable car and comes back down by toboggan, the flight day and the rail day carry no sightseeing, and one full day in Chengdu has nothing on it until dark.
Fourteen days, and the amount we arrange goes down as they go on. Beijing is the fullest: a palace, a wall, a workbench with your hands on it. Chengdu gets four nights, one of them with nothing on it until the tuk-tuks start after dark. Chongqing keeps a single thing, a train through an apartment tower, and then the plan hands the middle of the trip to a river and stops asking the family to move at all. Shanghai sends you home from the water. Three generations rarely get three days in one place with nothing to organize, and that stretch is the part you will still be talking about at home.
— LyrikTrip travel designers
Every LyrikTrip journey begins with a conversation. Tell us who is coming, the oldest and the youngest included, and your dates. First reply within four hours; a clear price for your dates within one business day. On this route we will also tell you plainly where the sailing, the cabins and the connecting rooms stand, before you are asked for anything.
Your driver meets your flight, whatever time it lands. The first day asks nothing of anyone.
The oldest thing on this route in the morning, the only thing you make yourself in the afternoon. This is the day the children work out how old this place is.
A cable car takes the party up and a sled brings it down. Everyone gets the same wall on the same morning.
A flight day, and only a flight day. Door to door this one runs most of the working day.
The morning belongs to the youngest of you. The afternoon belongs to nobody.
The family does things today instead of looking at them. Both halves of the day are indoors and both have chairs.
Nothing is scheduled until the light goes. Then a tuk-tuk turns up and the evening eats its way across the neighborhoods.
Three lanes in the morning, seventy-five minutes of rail after lunch, a train through an apartment block at dusk. The bags move once and land in a different kind of city.
The last morning with a hotel key in your pocket for three days. In the afternoon the luggage goes aboard and stops moving.
A whole day with no ground logistics at all: no bags, no transfers, no departure time anyone has to make.
The shore visit and the day's program are the ship's, not ours. What is ours is that you are still in the same bed tonight.
Off the ship in the morning, into the last city by evening. The bags move for the second time in six days.
A classical garden in the morning, a commuter boat in the afternoon, the waterfront after dark. The last full day answers the first one.
Breakfast, then the airport. The plan ends the way it started, with a driver and no hurry.

A few things on this route follow a sailing calendar, a policy window or a supplier's confirmation. Here they are, told straight.
Fewer than fourteen days?
The four land stops come apart cleanly: Beijing and Chengdu each stand on their own, and the river segment can go entirely, which brings the plan back to eleven days without changing its pace. Tell us your dates and who is coming, and we cut days rather than cut the pace.
